The book with the secret to the universe

I am reading a book call the Big Leap by Gay Hendricks. It is a little known fact that this book contains the secret to the universe!

When I read this secret to the universe my mind completely exploded. I am still in awe.

Before we get to that....

I have a little confession to make. I am completely obsessed with time. I want to get the most out of every second in life. I feel this constant external pressure squeezing me every day. The never ending to do list and the scarce commodity of time is a mathematical equation that I can never solve. And when I became a parent, this little obsession went to a whole nother level.

My work around is to outrun the clock. As an endurance athlete, I will give my entire self to win against time. The consequences for this are BIG. Burn out. Illness. Irritability. Stress. Mindless scrolling. Drinking.

I see clients and friends struggle with their relationship with time too. Feeling overscheduled and overwhelmed. Procrastinating or always hustling. This year has given us all an opportunity to explore our relationship to time. I invite you to explore what you have you discovered about time over the past twelve months;

What is your relationship with time?

How do you like to spend your time?

How do you actually spend your time?

Do you have enough time?

Okay, are you ready to learn the secret of the universe?

Regarding our relationship to time, Big Leap by Gay Hendricks writes:

"You are where time comes from"

You decide how you show up and what you are present for. Time isn't happening to you and it's not pushing against you. Actually, time comes from you so you can create as much time as you need.

Take a moment to absorb this concept. Meditation on it for a while....

This has totally broken open my belief that working hard is the only way to be successful. Now I feel like time is infinite and it's within me so I am supported in what I want to do and how I wish to spend my time. Honestly, I feel relieved. Instead of feeling like time is closing in on me. Now I feel like time is always expanding and opening up to me.
