About Soulful Yoga Therapy & Counseling
Kate Graham, LMHC, CYT 500, Founder of Soulful Yoga Therapy and a Member School of the International Association of Yoga Therapists.
I specialize in yoga as therapy and psychotherapy for those who experience anxiety, depression and trauma. I passionately believe in a full body approach to health and wellness. The "top down" nature of psychotherapy and the "bottom up" nature of yoga as therapy are a powerful combination for healing. Through yoga and psychotherapy we can honor the integrated nature of the physical body, emotional body and mind body to gain a deeper awareness and understanding of the whole self.
At the Brookline Trauma Center, I assisted in research studies on yoga and mental health and was privileged to lead the women's trauma sensitive yoga group - a program initiated by Dr. Bessel van der Kolk and David Emerson.
I have worked as a clinician at Wayside Youth and Family providing psychotherapy to adolescents in day treatment, residential and acute care.
Currently, I offer psychotherapy and yoga as therapy at Soulful Yoga Therapy to adults, adolescents, families and couples as well as facilitating training programs and workshops on Yoga as Therapy around New England.
"Kate, Thank you for being such a wonderful teacher. You bring an amazing and unique combination of calm, gentleness, humor, spirituality, and joy to yoga. You remind me to trust myself and celebrate wherever I am."
